Hello, Emma. While it is not Siri or Watson, USCIS has unveiled an attempt at modernization named “Emma.” Emma is a virtual assistant that allows customers to quickly find information about the immigration process on the USCIS website. Simply type a question and you will receive an answer in plain English and be directed to the relevant page on the USCIS website.

This new tool is an exciting first step towards improving access to basic information about our complicated immigration system. You can check out Emma at USCIS.gov by clicking “Ask a Question” in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
